Benefit Print

FotoFest International is very excited to be partnering with renowned photographer Pavel Banka for its Inaugural Benefit Print Edition.

Knife, 1996-2015, hails from the artist’s classic Kitchen Rituals series, but is realized now for the first time. Proceeds from the sale of the edition will go directly to supporting FotoFest's art programs and operations.

Pavel Banka was born in 1941 in Prague, Czech Republic where he lives and works. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the International Center of Photography, NY; the Art Institute of Chicago; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; Musee de L'Elysee, Switzerland; and the Museum Ludwig, Cologne. Mr. Banka's work has been shown extensively throughout Europe and the United States, including a major career retrospective at the prestigious Rudolfinum Museum in Prague in 2001. Apart from being a well-established artist, Mr. Banka is also a prolific writer and curator. In 2002 he co-founded FOTOGRAF magazine which has expanded to a gallery and an annual photo festival in the center of Prague.
